What This Site Is

GoSocialMockup is a free fake tweet generator and mockup suite: type what the post should say, watch a pixel-accurate preview update live, and download a watermark-free 2× PNG. Alongside thetweet tool there's afake Instagram post generatorand afake iMessage generator, with more platforms on the roadmap — seeall tools.

Why It Exists

Most fake tweet makers bury a simple job under ads, signup walls, watermarked exports, or "pro" tiers. This site is built on the opposite bet: do the mockup perfectly, charge nothing, collect nothing, and let the quality be the marketing. There are no ads, no accounts, no watermarks, and no uploads — everything you type or attach is processed inside your own browser and never reaches a server.

Who It's For

Meme creators and comedy writers, social media managers mocking up campaign previews, UI/UX designers who need believable social content in prototypes, teachers running media-literacy lessons on how easily screenshots are fabricated, and video creators building thumbnails and b-roll. The common thread: fiction, parody, design, and education — not deception.

The Honest-Use Principle

Every generated image is fictional. We're direct about this across the site: parody should read as parody, mockups should be labeled when shared, and fabricating statements from real people to deceive is both against ourterms and, in many places, against the law. Thewhat-is-a-fake-tweet guidedoubles as a spot-the-fake explainer for exactly that reason.

This site is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. (formerly Twitter, Inc.), Meta Platforms, Inc., or Apple Inc. — their names appear only because the mockups imitate their interfaces, which belong to them.
